Safeguarding
Last updated: draft, pending legal review.
The safety of every Teki-SL participant is our highest institutional priority. This page summarizes the framework; the full policy is available on request.
Background checks
Every facilitator, mentor, and administrator who interacts with learners, especially minors, undergoes a verified background check before being granted access.
Code of conduct
All members agree to the CHAIR values and to specific safeguarding rules: no private DMs between adults and minors outside platform channels, no after-hours meetings without supervisor presence, mandatory reporting of any concern.
Reporting a concern
If you have a concern, about yourself, a peer, or a member of staff, please report it. Reports can be anonymous and are reviewed by a senior officer within 24 hours.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the Sierra Leone Police on 019 or the Family Support Unit directly before filing a report here.
Children and guardian consent
Programmes for under-18 learners require a verifiable guardian consent record. We store consent and any revocations in the user's encrypted profile.
This is a draft. Final policy must be reviewed by a child-protection specialist before launch.
