A digital classroom built for Sierra Leone
The national curriculum, written once and shared by every school. Teachers add their own notes, set work and mark it. Pupils learn at their grade and prepare for the examination at the end of their level. Parents see what was actually taught.
TeKi Schools is being built now, with schools rather than for them. We are working with a small first group so the product matches how a Sierra Leonean school actually runs its year.
Who it is for
Five people, one school year
A school is not one user. Each of these sees a different part of the same term, and only the part they are entitled to.
Pupils
Lessons for your own grade and term, practice that tells you why an answer was wrong, and preparation for the exam at the end of your level.
Teachers
National curriculum content you do not have to write, your own notes layered on top of it, and marking that adds up the objective questions for you.
School leaders
One place for classes, streams, teachers and enrolment, with a record of who changed a pupil record and when.
Parents and guardians
What your child studied, what was marked, and what the teacher said. Read-only, and only for a child the school has linked you to.

A school enables only the levels it actually offers. A primary-only school never sees a JSS class list.

Curriculum learning
One national curriculum, written once
TeKi authors the Sierra Leone curriculum centrally, subject by subject and term by term. Every school reads the same published content, so a small school in Kailahun opens the same Primary 5 fractions lesson as a large one in Freetown.
- Level, grade, subject, term, topic and subtopic, so a lesson lands where the teacher expects it
- Written lessons, worked examples, practice questions and downloadable resources
- Draft, under review, published and archived, with version history, so published content is never silently overwritten
- A teacher adds their own note on top of the national lesson. It complements the lesson, it never replaces it

TeKiSL AI, inside the lesson
An AI study companion that knows which grade, subject and topic a pupil is on, so it explains the lesson in front of them rather than answering from somewhere else.
- Explains a concept again, in simpler words, or in a second way
- Generates extra practice on the same topic when a pupil wants more
- Helps a teacher draft a lesson note or a set of questions, which the teacher then edits and approves
- Switched off during assessments by default, so a child cannot ask for the answer mid-exam. A school can also turn it off entirely
Assignments and assessments
Assignments, quizzes and school examinations
The whole loop a teacher already runs, from setting work to returning a mark, with the arithmetic done for them.
- Assignments with attachments, due dates and clear states: not started, submitted, late, returned, graded
- Quizzes that mark objective questions automatically and queue written answers for the teacher
- School examinations with scheduled windows and timing validated on the server, not on the pupil device clock
- Autosave and recovery, because a dropped connection mid-paper must not cost a pupil their answers
- Results released deliberately by the school. Nothing reaches a pupil or a parent until the school releases it
Exam preparation
NPSE, BECE and WASSCE, reached by grade
Inside the school, a pupil sees the examination their grade sits. Nobody has to select it, and nobody sees a paper meant for a different level.

What a head teacher is actually buying
Not a course library. A place to run a school year, with the boundaries a school needs around a child's record.

- Every record belongs to one school and is reachable only by its own members. There is no shared roster and no cross-school view.
