Is Teki-SL really free?
Yes. Teki-SL is a youth-led, tuition-free learning platform. Courses, certificates, the community, the CV builder, and the practice sandboxes are all free. We run on the goodwill of volunteers, partners, and donations.
How do I enroll in a course?
Create a free account, open the course catalog, pick a course, and press Enroll. Your progress is saved automatically and shows up on your dashboard.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, courses with certificates enabled issue a verifiable certificate when you complete the course requirements (for example, passing all quizzes). Each certificate has a public verification code an employer can check.
Can I learn on my phone or with limited data?
Yes. The platform is built mobile-first, and lessons are designed to work on low bandwidth. Pages you have visited are cached so previously read content loads even when your connection drops.
Do I need to install anything to practice coding?
No. Coding lessons embed a live editor in the page, and the cloud sandboxes give you free practice environments, nothing to install, no card required.
How does mentorship work?
Mentorship happens in the open through the community: post in the Mentorship category to find a mentor or offer to mentor. Read the guide to being mentored to make the most of it.
How do points and achievements work?
You earn points for learning activity, completing lessons, keeping streaks, finishing courses. Achievements unlock as you hit milestones and appear on your profile and the leaderboard.
