Solving Exercises
How hands-on practice works on Teki-SL, labs, quizzes, and projects.
Teki-SL courses are built around doing, not just watching. Most lessons pair an idea with a practice task you complete on the same page.
Embedded practice labs
Coding lessons include a live editor with a task, read the concept, then build it immediately. Your work auto-saves on your device, so you can leave and come back without losing anything. See Hands-on Labs for how this works.
A typical task asks you to complete a function so the checks pass. For example, a JavaScript exercise might give you this starter:
// Return the sum of every number in the list.
function total(numbers) {
// your code here
}
console.log(total([2, 4, 6])); // expected: 12Quizzes and assignments
Quizzes check your understanding and are graded instantly, that is your first source of feedback. Assignments are reviewed by instructors and appear in your grades once marked.
The playground and sandboxes
Want to experiment beyond the exercises? The playground in your learner dashboard and the free cloud sandboxes let you explore your own ideas in isolated environments with zero setup.
Iterate, do not aim for perfect first time
The learning is in the iteration. Submit an attempt, look at the feedback, improve it, and try again. If you are stuck after a couple of attempts, ask in the community Support category, explaining where you are stuck is itself a powerful way to learn.
Heads up
Stuck for more than 30 minutes? Stop guessing and ask. A good question describes what you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead.
